EJ Financial Corporation (“EJFC”) is a privately held company who is in the business of providing investment advisory services to individuals, trusts, estates, charitable organizations and corporations. EJFC was formed in 2004 and became a State Registered Investment Adviser in 2010. EJFC is majority owned by Mr. Jitin K. Singhal. CFA, who has been its President since inception. A minority stake in the company is held by Ms. Ekta Singhal.
Principal Executive Officer
Jitin K. Singhal founded EJFC and has been its President since 2004. He is a CFA charter holder since 2006 and earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from George Mason University in 2005. Mr. Singhal also holds a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) from University of Michigan and a degree equivalent to a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from Marine Engineering and Research Institute, India. Mr. Singhal was born in 1973. Mr. Singhal also works full time for Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (“Farmer Mac”), a government sponsored agency, as Portfolio Manager, managing the company’s multi-billion dollar investment portfolio. Due to his employment with Farmer Mac, Mr. Singhal does not provide investment advice on any security offered by Farmer Mac.
About CFA Charter
To earn the CFA charter, a person needs to have four years of qualified investment work experience, become a member of CFA Institute, pledge to adhere to the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct on an annual basis, apply for membership to a local CFA member society, and complete the CFA Program.
The CFA Program is organized into three levels, each culminating in a six-hour exam. Completing the Program takes most candidates between two and five years, but candidates can take as long as they need to complete the program.
